POPIS KURZU MBA in Marketing
This 19-month life long education program of weekend study (2 weekends per month) leads to a Master's of Business Administration (MBA) double degree from the University of New York in Prague, and from the Institut Universitaire Kurt Bösch. You will take a core set of 9 courses providing you with a solid foundation in international business and then 4 additional courses in Marketing
Prior to the start of the MBA program, UNYP provides, free of charge, a pre-MBA workshop in the principles of finance, accounting, marketing and management to ensure that you begin your studies well-prepared and on an equitable level with your fellow classmates.
Our next MBA cohort begins in October 2010.
MBA core courses:
- Organizational Behavior and Leadership
- Marketing Management
- Financial Accounting
- Managerial Accounting
- Operations Management
- Legal and Ethical Decisions
- Information Systems for Managers
- Negotiation and Conflict Resolution
- Financial Management
The Marketing concentration route prepares students for the complex challenges facing companies in a highly competitive environment. Marketing and marketing communications has become a key factor in gaining and maintaining market share and corporate positioning. This option is ideal for grooming students for a senior marketing role. The specialist subjects build on the core subjects to provide comprehensive marketing knowledge.
Apart from the core subjects, students complete courses in the following focus areas. Students complete the first three core subjects, and then choose one elective from the three offered.
- Marketing Research (Core Class)
- Consumer Behaviour (Core Class)
- Strategic Marketing (Core Class)
- Marketing Communication Strategy (Elective)
- Brand Management (Elective)
- Guerilla, Viral and Social Media (Elective)
Consultancy Project
After completing the course, students undertake the role of an internal or external consultant and investigate a business problem with the aim of arriving at a fesiable solution to the problem originally identified.
